Learning how to sew
Well, I’ve bitten the bullet and enrolled in a 5 week WEA course called “Sewing for Beginners”. A chance to find out if I do have any kind of talent in me, after all it’s been a long time since year 8 home economics classes (I made a pillowcase!).
Apparently I’m going to: “Learn all steps to a finished garment from cutting your material. Save money by making clothes for yourself and your family.” The only problem is, I need to bring my own sewing machine to all classes…. Sounds like it should be fun, just need to find someone willing to lend me a sewing machine on Tuesday nights.
