A hungry lonely kitty cat (nicknamed Skinny Minnie) has turned up at my friend’s house. She’d love to keep the cat, but lives on a main road. Can you give Skinny Minnie a home? I met her last night and she’s a real sweetie. She’s a short haired light brown tabby cat who needs your loving.

Can you help? I’d love to take her, but I’ve already got two cats.

Spent another day in bed, in the bathroom, on the couch with what I think might have been food poisoning. Got home last night from a party and went and threw up. Crashed out asleep, woke up this morning and ugh. Headache, nausea, gut pains, vomiting and last but not least diarrhoea. I’ve only now just been able to get it together to make some toast with vegemite. I hope it stays down.
On other news, I have some of my Canberra photos on Flickr that have been included in a Schmap guide.
The boy bought the dog a new collar today, it’s red with silver studs. She looks like a rock dog now!
More lying down for me now I think. I’ve got such a headache.

After some unexpected news yesterday, the chook project was seemingly doomed!
However, some things are just meant to be! Romana called me to tell me that they are allowed to have chooks!
Then, in another amazing set of coincidences, Paul called for a chat this morning, I mentioned the chook thing to him and he said…
hey there’s an old chook pen at Brownie’s place. The house has just been sold and it was going to be knocked down. I’ll measure it up this afternoon after work and let you know how big it is and if it can fit in the truck or whether or not we need to take it apart.
Hoorah! The chook project lives!

It’s over. Chook plans have been postponed, perhaps to be cancelled completely.
We were going to have a working bee this Saturday morning, followed by a bbq lunch. The Chook Collective were going to pitch in and get the chook yard ready, we were going to collect the Chooks on Sunday and take them to their new home.
Everything’s changed. Annie’s got a job for the school term in Port Pirie. She’s leaving next week. Then she’s going overseas. Annie’s core, and she’s leaving. That sucks. Not only that, we can’t get the Chooks any more. I’m sad. I was really looking forward to having Chooks. I’m happy for Annie, she’s got a job teaching for the school term, but I’m sad too.
If the other housemates were interested in Chooks, then the Chook plans would still go ahead. But Osk and Ed are both writing theses and Em was never keen on the idea of Chooks.
Have you got a solution? We’ve got access to some free Chooks, but we don’t have anywhere to put them now. Can anyone help?
On a brighter note, I might be able to come and dig up some of the herbs in Annie’s veggie garden, because the rest of the house aren’t interested in them.
Also, half of Saturday is now freed up, and we don’t have to go get the Chooks on Sunday. Hmm, what to do with the weekend! I wish it was Friday today.
Last weekend the boy and I planted up the veggie garden, it’s looking great. If I had a digital camera, I’d take some photos of it. Stay tuned, I’ll try and borrow someone’s camera.
