Apparently the space between your thumb and forefinger when you make the ok sign is also the width of a branch that can hold your weight.

  1. okay firstly, i love that tattoo. secondly, i’m definitely going to try that. like, put the computer down right now and hop on outside to try and find a tree low enough to the ground so i won’t go splat if it’s true!

    that doesn’t make sense! will that space get any bigger if i gain 300 pounds? if anything, it will get smaller, meaning a smaller branch could hold my +300 pound self!

    Haha! Joni, that is an excellent point. Although I imagine if you do put on 300 pounds, it’s unlikely you’re going to be climbing any trees.

    I just taught my preschooler the same rule that my preschool teacher taught me: Don’t step on any branch that is bigger around than your wrist. It always worked for me!
