If anyone’s been reading for a while now, they’ll know that about a year ago I completely lost my mind over some incredible brooches by Melbourne designer Lost in the Woods. The only problem was I couldn’t find anywhere to buy these little babies online. UNTIL NOW. That’s right. It’s only taken me a year [...]

Can anyone out there give me one good reason not to spend £110 (AUS: $246, USD: $219 *cough*) on this Tatty Devine enamel shoe necklace? Please, someone talk me out of it! I’m being stupid, right? RIGHT? Do it now before I press that pay button. Update: Thanks for your support loyal readers. I was [...]

I’ve been seeing the work of Brighton jeweller Becky Crow everywhere lately. She has some really lovely pieces but my favourite is the way she can turn your family tree into a brooch (above left). It’s the perfect gift for anyone who’s interested in their family history (Mum, do you want one?). She doesn’t have [...]

I was just perusing Etsy and stumbled across Hapa’s shop. She makes origami jewellery out of silver. Incredible! I adore the crane, the catamaran, the “cootie catcher” clip (I think we just called them fortune tellers in Australia), and just about everything. What a great idea.

I really like these brooches and mugs from Japanese design company Pop Over. They have a bunch of really cute prints and patterns on their website. Most of it’s in Japanese but the fact that they’ve got a shop leads me to believe you can buy stuff from them.

Not even when I had a car accident and ended up upside down in a creek, or when I was in hospital with Joyce the poo jockey (long story, I’ll save it for another time), have I been this close to actual death. Yes, actual human death. I’ve just discovered something so incredibly beautiful that I can’t even function [...]

I bought a wooden bird badge a few weeks ago and only just realised it was by Frozen Peas. From Portland, they make some really pretty, funny, interesting things. I really like the t-rex holding the rifle. Ridiculous, I know. Anyway, you can buy stuff from their site, Hannah Zakari, the Cut + Paste shop and even [...]

I know I’m sounding like a spoilt brat today but I don’t care! I want all of those brooches above. All of them! And I want them now! I love this brooch set by Geneine Honey. I love the black one the most but they’re both sold out. Oh! I can’t bear the fact that we may never be together. Some of her other stuff is for sale on Via Alley but who cares? I want this one.

There are some sweet brooches over at Helpless Romantic. I really like the teapot/tea cup necklace/brooch set, and the ribs are quite cute too. They’re all really reasonably priced which is nice. I’m not sure how I feel about the bow hair piece/neck tie thing (below). Maybe a bit OTT?

My latest favourite purchase has to be the super cute ghost brooch by Scoops (above left). Another Sydney-based artist, Sophie Cooper is a UTS graduate who’s worked in TV and design.
