Oh my god. I can’t believe I haven’t seen any of these before. They’re from a series of collections in Poppytalk‘s blog and they are seriously spectacular. Those cups and saucers! Those old family photos! The posters! The globes! ! ! ! Amazing.

I really like these brooches and mugs from Japanese design company Pop Over. They have a bunch of really cute prints and patterns on their website. Most of it’s in Japanese but the fact that they’ve got a shop leads me to believe you can buy stuff from them.

Lee Page Hanson‘s ceramics studio is just metres from my front door. Lee creates some of the most original and lovely ceramics I’ve ever seen, with images of birds and horses featuring prominently. You can buy his gorgeous tiles in the Craft and Design Centre in Manchester’s Norther Quarter.

One of my absolute favourite finds of the weekend was Vintage Heaven on Columbia Road. If you’re a regular reader of this site, you’ll be familiar with my penchant for vintage ceramics. Well, imagine my delight at finding an entire store devoted to them! I get the impression Vintage Heaven hasn’t been open long as [...]

Sandra Issakson‘s work is all apples, flowers and birds which is a-okay by me. She has some truly gorgeous prints on cups, trays, cards and even wallpaper. She has a great shop on her website too. Lovely!

These gorgeous ceramics/china are from a company called Zanisa. I adore all the little details on these. Anyone for tea and cake?

These Shinzi Katoh cotton totes are all part of a collection that consists of pretty much anything and everything you could imagine. From teddy bear soap dishes to red apple chopstick holders and measuring cups, this famous Japanese designer creates the kitsch, naive and insanely cute.

I went to Yorkshire on the weekend and came home with a bunch of photos, a cold and a mountain of self-pity. Thus, I’m thinking about eating nothing but soup for the next week and what better way to do so than with a sandwich oozing melted cheese? I love this soup and sandwich plate [...]

My other half seems to think there’s something wrong with wanting ceramics with robots on them. So what if these are meant for kids? And so what if I’m 25? They’re ROBOTS FFS, what’s not to love? These are by a UK design company called Freckle Designs whose attention to detail is second to none. If [...]
