We didn’t go inside, instead choosing to sit in the sun at the end of Bialik St where a woman photographed her dog on its hind legs drinking from a water fountain meant for humans and where a man told us he could tell we were from Western Europe. “People here don’t have legs that colour,” he said, squinting in the glare.
